There are four chapters, or ‘episodes’ posted so far of the Amazon Vela service for the Kindle. I don’t believe Vela has gone live yet though. I should have episode five done tomorrow, for what it’s worth.
This story is an intriguing one to write—hope readers find it so. The Vela format doesn’t allow for illustrations the way regular Kindle books do, so I’m planning on issuing Solstice as a regular Kindle book, with illustrations, once it’s done. That’s assuming one can do both kinds of publications.
Thing is, I’m finding this Solstice story so interesting, I might keep the serialized story going, at least, for as long as it feels compelling. So the illustrated book might just be book one of a longer, continuing story about the adventures of a trans girl who wakes up one morning as a cisgender girl in a sort of parallel universe.
