As they always do, once I start the writing process. The new book in progress, Influence, has morphed into a Transgender Tale about a sweet and innocent girl growing up in the Little Village of Chicago—a girl who only learns as she is growing up that she was born as a boy.
Fortunately, her mother and her Tia Rosa have made sure no record remains of that. They don’t even recall what male name might have initially and mistakenly been given to her originally.
All of which suits young Teresa just fine.
I’ll keep you posted as this coming of age novel progresses. So far, it’s a lot of fun to write.
