My other “Twilight Zone” style T-Tale is Devil’s Due: A Transgender Tale. And like Solstice, it’s sales have dropped off substantially since its initial months.
And yet I like this one a lot, also.

This story incorporates elements from two past masters of horror: H.P. Lovecraft and Robert W. Chambers. Most folks know something about Lovecraft’s weird cosmic horror mythos but Chambers may be a less well known author to many.
Chambers predated Lovecraft, even though I find Chambers stories much more modern in tone and style. His most famous book, The King in Yellow, was published in 1895, yet reads like something much more contemporary. Chambers was a significant influence on Lovecraft yet Lovecraft seems much better known to modern readers.
My story takes elements from both writers and adds a transgender twist, naturally. The central character is a male writer who is suffering the well-earned opprobrium of Cancel Culture. He’s a predatory pig. But a successful author of horror stories.
And in his desperate search for rehabilitation he comes across The Repairer of Reputation, a phrase right out of Chambers. But the solution is a twist right out of the Twilight Zone. He gets turned into a female, since his latest object of desire is a beautiful young lesbian. And so our transformed author gets the girl. By becoming a girl.
But there are always consequences for such miracles. The Devil will always get his due.
At any rate, I was rather pleased with my T-Tale pastiche of Lovecraft, Chambers, and Rod Serling.
