As readers may remember, some of my books have had plot elements involving super AI programs, some helpful, some malevolent. Solstice, written two years ago, featured competing super AIs called basilisks. Now my most recent book, Goethe Street, features a helpful super AI that assists my private eye heroine.
And the sequel, Shadowland, currently appearing on Kindle Vella, features that same helpful AI and a less helpful competitor.
And I’m starting to feel a little prescient, not to mention a little alarmed, by all the mainstream alarms suddenly being sounded over the new super AIs that are cropping up.
