Again, it comes out October 23 on Amazon. And this new book is a bit unique in some ways.
First, it’s my longest book, I believe, at just over 78,000 words.
It’s also my first book with no illustrations, no photos, no images in the text.
I’ve started wondering if the illustrations in my earlier books were a distraction. I mean, if I’m doing my job right, the words should paint the pictures. And the greatest trans novel I’ve ever read, I Want What I Want, had no illustrations but I still retain in my memory vivid scenes from that book.
The illustration were a holdover from Reluctant Press days, I think, when I was frustrated with the illustrations they inserted in my books.
