So, I read through my own book from last year, Devil’s Due, and had two reactions, now that enough time has passed for me to see this with fresh eyes.
First, I was pleased with the quality of the writing. But I wondered if the story presupposed too much familiarity with the work of Lovecraft and Robert W. Chambers (creator of The King In Yellow, and one of my favorite writers).
But secondly, I also felt like I ended this story too soon—it leaves our (admittedly flawed) heroine in a dark place, brainwashed and turned into a trophy wife for a rather wicked man.
I’m seriously thinking of adding more to the story, of continuing this T-Tale a little further into the narrative, and then issuing a new edition of the book.
So stay tuned…

I loved the story as it was but am really looking forward to seeing it extended and further resolved.
Thank you!
