The Shadows Deepen

Sorry I haven’t been so good about updating this space. Work and health issues have taken much of my time. But these are dark times for trans people and those who oppose these Orcs and Fascists need to speak more loudly and more often.

Readers of my books cannot be surprised at my absolute condemnation of Trump and his GOP bootlickers and brownshirts. But things are getting worse and our enemies aren’t even trying anymore to hide their Final Solution for trans people.

And it occurs to me that the lies and slanders from the Right about how trans folk are unstable and violent have an obvious refutation.

If we were what they claim, our enemies would be the ones living in fear. Because we would be acting in righteous self-defense against these monsters, before they can tattoo us and ship us off to camps.

But they laugh and swagger and lie without consequence precisely because we are not violent and dangerous.

Unlike them. Unlike the party of pedophiles and prevarication.

But that could change, I suppose, if push comes to shove.
